Niagara Falls Lions Club Building the Community
Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Fido. With the launch of the Fido Casting Call™, Fido is searching for Canada’s top dog to star in a future Fido ad while supporting Dog Guides. Dog owners and dog lovers alike are encouraged to vote for their favourite dog at http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/ and the dog with the most votes will receive a special VIP puppy package to Montreal. For every vote, Fido is generously donating $1.00 to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, up to a maximum of $200,000. Until November 17th, dog owners can enter the Fido Casting Call™ by completing a casting sheet on the Fido website page.
Niagara Falls Lions Club Upgrades
The Club has some new upgrades with the help of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario(FedDev Ontario).
The support from FedDev Ontario helped us improve the club for the community in so many ways.
OUR NEW VISION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
- Fully handicap-accessible facilities
- Barrier-free washroom facility (funded in part by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario))
- Monthly meetings University Women’s Book Club
- University Women’s Club monthly meetings
- Large increase in senior’s card parties, partly because they have good access to Lions Club
- We have seniors in wheelchairs and increase rentals from local union teams holding monthly meetings.
- Partnered with local girl’s ringette; Niagara Falls Daredevils ringette
- Partnered with local girl’s Softball; Niagara Girls Minor Softball Association
- Partnered with local girl’s hockey teams; Niagara Girls Hockey Association – U11B, U13BB
